NHS chief gets pharmacy jabs
NHS chief executive Amanda Pritchard got a shot in each arm when she received a flu vaccine and a Covid-19 booster on the same day from Bhaveen, a pharmacist at the Junction Pharmacy in Brixton.
Ahead of the one-year anniversary of the NHS delivering the first Covid-19 vaccine in the world on 6 December, Ms Pritchard said she was delighted to get her booster at the pharmacy, describing the process as "quick and easy".
"The wonderful staff here, as at pharmacies across the country, are playing a key part in the roll-out and they are making every contact with patients count – I was also able to get my flu vaccine this morning," she said.
Ms Pritchard added that the Omicron variant must act as "a call to arms for those who haven’t yet had their jab".
