Some patients seem to attract errors. When we have previously made an error with a patient's prescription, we can feel more stress when we are dispensing for them again, especially if they are a demanding or aggressive patient.

Someone who wants to talk to dispensing staff while waiting for their prescription to be dispensed can also be a distraction, causing members of the dispensing team to lose focus. In these types of situations, we have to maintain focus without letting our feelings affect our ability to dispense and check accurately.
