5. Action plan
The final stage of the process is to examine these scenarios to determine what the most critical outcomes are. These are the ‘branching points’ relating to ‘issues’ that have the greatest impact (those potentially generating a crisis) on the future of the business.
The greater the probability of a particular scenario happening, the more we need to plan to accommodate it, going forward. The scenarios can be revisited from time to time to allow us to make corrective actions sooner rather than later.
