We are going to look at a scenario planning model which incorporates the optimistic
elements in one scenario and the negative elements in another. They do not necessarily
need to be a mirror of each other. This way, we can incorporate more of the forces that affect pharmacy.
This method is often preferred where some factors are clearly related to each other. For example, the move online may fuel further development of smartphones, and lead to an increase in their diagnostic capability. It helps to narrate what is happening or might happen and to spell out the reasons a particular situation might arise. Once the forces have been identified, it can be useful to rate them in order to gauge their potential influence and impact.
