This CPD module looks at ways to maximise the pharmacy team's skills mix. It will cover time management, effective delegation and using a chart to map the team's skill levels.
Goal
To provide pharmacists with practical advice on how to make best use of the range of skills in their pharmacy team.
Objectives:
After reading this module, you will:
- Describe the strategic imperative for the profession to make best use of all of its staff and how these are related to policy drivers in the NHS
- Appreciate the importance of building and maintaining an appropriate skill mix in your pharmacy
- Describe a six-step process for effective delegation
- Understand how to conduct a skill mix mapping for your pharmacy that will help you to define and execute a clear development plan.

About this module
Pharmacy needs strong managers, effective leaders and people with the right skills to drive the profession forward. With this in mind, P3 Business CPD modules are written as practical learning tools for use by anyone in the pharmacy team.
