Two pharmacy workers will appear at Yeovil Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday (March 31) charged with offences linked to the theft and supply of prescription-only medicines in Somerset.
Avon and Somerset Police yesterday said Stuart Eales, 54, and Louise Larby, 41, both formerly of Yeovil, face a charge of theft of controlled drugs between May 2022 and March 2024 while working for a pharmacy.
The pair also face charges of conspiring to sell/supply Oramorph not in accordance with a prescription and conspiring to supply Zopiclone, Dihydrocodeine, Diazepam, Tramadol and Pregabalin. A third person, Alastair Caines, 40, of Yeovil, also faces those six charges.
Avon and Somerset Police said the charges were made after a two-year investigation which was launched when a pharmacy discovered “discrepancies in their stock”. A woman who was arrested in connection with the investigation was released without charge.
