Rowlands superintendent steps down after decade in the role
Rowlands Pharmacy superintendent director Margaret MacRury has stepped down from her role at the pharmacy chain after 10 years in the post.
Ms MacRury will step back from her duties at Rowlands to focus on community pharmacy contractual developments in Scotland as a Community Pharmacy Scotland board member. Stephen Thomas takes over from her as Rowlands’ superintendent.
“I have hugely enjoyed my time at Rowlands and seen the business grow from strength to strength introducing new initiatives to improve patient care,” she said.
“I am immensely proud of our superintendents’ team who do outstanding work every day. I know Stephen will continue that commitment to protecting patients and promoting the pharmacy sector.
“During my time as superintendent director I have seen our sector ever increasingly being recognised as a critical part of the NHS family providing essential access to much-needed healthcare support and advice alongside dispensing.”
