This research could involve looking at information such as PSNC websites, talking to LPC contacts and reviewing their information, finding out about what head office/regional management support might be available (if applicable), or if you have colleagues in the area or in online networking forums who have delivered something similar.
There might be training support materials that can be used from organisations such as the CPPE or from product manufacturers. All this can help to contribute to forming a plan of how the idea will work in practice.
Some ideas will either need funding to get them started, or need to raise income. Will this be an NHS funded service? Will money be raised through selling supporting products?
Will customers pay for the service? Will the service/offer be free, but the aim be to increase potential customer numbers and subsequent sales/prescriptions? The idea should also be reviewed in context of the community pharmacy contractual framework.
