More than half of pharmacy owners are yet to complete their Data Security and Protection Toolkit 2025 ahead of the imminent deadline in less than two weeks, Community Pharmacy England has warned.
The negotiator has published guidance to help contractors complete the latest tookit, which is used to make a pharmacy’s information governance (IG) declaration and has several new requirements compared to previous versions.
It must be completed by June 30.
CPE has produced an on-demand webinar to help contractors complete the declaration.
Pharmacy teams who have updated their templates in CPE’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) Workbook will be able to meet the criteria for completing around half of the Toolkit questions by adding ‘see GDPR WB’ into those questions.
All the questions marked mandatory in the Toolkit must be completed as part of a pharmacy’s NHS Terms of Service to meet minimum IG requirements.
