This CPD module is about fulfilling the needs of your local community. It will consider ways to identify and respond to local demand, complement existing local NHS and private healthcare services, and identify competition in order to meet changing needs.
Goal:
- To understand the value of developing your pharmacy in response to local healthcare needs.
Objectives:Â
- Review the range of sources of information about local healthcare need
- Recognise where the service gaps are and who is already providing what and where
- Consider what is being offered by competitors
- Explore methods for population profiling.

About this module
