Business sessions at the Pharmacy Show

Pharmacists are encouraged to visit the Business Theatre (in association with the National Pharmacy Association) while they are at the Pharmacy Show this Sunday and Monday, to hear a range of sessions on topics about developing pharmacy business.

P3, published by Communications International Group (Visit CIG at Stand PB31), is editorial partner for the Business Theatre.

In a packed day of sessions, delegates on Sunday will hear about ‘Improving relations between general practice and community pharmacy’ from Jay Patel of Day Lewis Pharmacy and discussions on Brexit and implications for pharmacy, women in pharmacy and ideas for improving the pharmacy business ‘bottom line’.

The Falsified Medicines Directive is the subject of two sessions on Monday 9th October. Peter Blundell of MHRA will look at ‘FMD, thefts and diversion from the pharmaceutical supply chain’ and Bharat Shah of Sigma Pharmaceuticals will discuss the opportunties and threats involved with the initiative. Other talks during the day include ‘Adding the right private services that make profit’ from Ash Soni of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society and ‘How to set up a travel clinic’ from Jasmine Shah for the NPA.

Sessions in the Business Theatre at the Pharmacy Show start at 9.45am on Sunday 8th October and Monday 9th October and run through the day.
