LloydsPharmacy to support dementia charities with Black Friday sales

Lloyds Pharmacy has announced that it will donate one per cent of all its sales during the Black Friday promotion (20-28 November) to its charity partners Alzheimer’s Society and Alzheimer Scotland.

The money raised will help to support those living with dementia and their carers, a spokesperson for the pharmacy multiple said.

Celesio UK managing director Cormac Tobin commented: “This is a perfect way for us to show our commitment to our charity partnership. Fighting against dementia is a cause that is so close to our hearts and the hearts of our customers and we’re delighted to be in a position to show our support in this way.

“We now know that dementia is the leading cause of death in the UK, and alarmingly it’s still a misunderstood, underappreciated condition. As a community pharmacy network, with a team of expert health professionals, we’re in a great position to connect with our customers and patients that have concerns about dementia or may be living with the condition.”
