The impact of business training on the story of the family-run Day Lewis business is shared here.

Having completed MBAs 25 years apart, this father-and-son team has decided to share some insights into their learning. We think that by explaining the benefits, this may help others who are interested in going down the same route of study.

We are both pharmacists, but we believe it was our second degrees that have shaped and will shape our business and personal lives. The MBA has given us the tools to communicate better with each other. As a result, our first and second-generation family members work as a strong team towards common business and family goals in Day Lewis, which is still a family-led company.

We believe there are many benefits that others could also profit from.

What is an MBA?

An MBA can teach you to think like a business leader, train you to understand complex business issues and think strategically. Not only can an MBA enhance or provide the business skills you may be lacking, it can also enhance your soft skills, such as leadership, cross-cultural understanding and teamwork. These are all important characteristics for future business leaders.
