It is essential that you understand that demand within your workplace and employee demand will fluctuate with business productivity and overall economic performance. Manpower planning is central to the management of any workforce.

Hearts

Workplace morale is key to enhanced performance and productivity. Poor morale inevitably leads to 'better' employees leaving. It is essential that you are able to identify issues that could affect employee morale and address them promptly.

Minds and voices

In order to understand what your employees are thinking, you should aim to create a culture of feedback and suggestions for improvements.

Your employees should:

  • Demonstrate a positive and constructive attitude
  • Possess articulate characteristics
  • Work well within a team
  • Communicate effectively with work colleagues (including direct line managers)
  • Promote a positive image of their workplace
  • Be friendly towards customers.
