PSNC has announced the launch of the Community Pharmacy Flu Vaccination Service for 2017/18. This follows the publication of the service specification, Patient Group Direction (PGD) and Secretary of State Directions.

Pharmacies who meet the requirements for service provision can now offer flu jabs to those in eligible groups, subject to vaccination delivery arrangements with their supplier.

Contractors must first read the service specification, PGD and Directions, PSNC says. The organisation also has a guide to help contractors ensure they are ready to roll out the service.
