10-minute module

Helping customers treat & care for their scalp

This e-module aims to provide community pharmacy teams with some key information they need to help them offer the best advice and treatment recommendations to customers with some common scalp conditions.

  • Understand how to recognise dandruff, seborrhoeic dermatitis of the scalp and scalp psoriasis
  • Know some of the products available in pharmacy to manage scalp conditions
  • Feel confident having conversations with customers about these scalp conditions, which can be sensitive topics
  • Be able to explain how to use Neutrogena T/Gel® Therapeutic Shampoo (Neutar(TM) solubilised coal tar extract) and the benefits of Neutar(TM) to customers
  • Explain the T/Gel® daily range of products and the differences between each product
  • Know what self-care advice you can give to your customers

Dandruff has been identified as a self-limiting condition for which over-the-counter (OTC) products should not be routinely prescribed. As a result, you may come across more customers looking to purchase products alongside your support and advice.1

Product information is available at the end of the module
