It is important that services involving prescribing are managed to ensure quality and there are some decisions that only the prescriber can make. Prescribing is new to community pharmacies and it is important to work with the prescriber to agree reasonable approaches to management and target setting. By working in this way you will create a reasonable and effective approach to managing these services in the pharmacy.

Create a list of standards with which you will manage an IP. For each standard define your expectation for the IP. Format this to use as the basis of a discussion with an IP to agree expectations.
