UK pharmacist Raj Aggarwal OBE has organised the UK’s largest ever yoga class in Cardiff on this year’s International Yoga Day (Sunday 25 June).
Mr Aggarwal, an RPS Fellow, has been practising the discipline for many years. In preparation for the event, he held a small class with the Welsh representatives of Miss Universe Great Britain, who are fundraising for charities in India that support women.
Mr Aggarwal, who is also Honorary Consul of India for Wales, said: “We are delighted that the First Minister will be joining us to celebrate International Yoga Day. It’s a great opportunity for Cardiff and Wales to join the world in celebrating this timeless practice, which can be enjoyed by young and old. It does not discriminate and promotes respect for fellow human beings and the planet.
“For those new to yoga, this could be a taster, or for those experienced, a slightly different type of session to enjoy – the message is that all are welcome, so come and join us!â€
