Men’s Health Forum issues call for input on diabetes
The Men’s Health Forum has asked to hear from researchers and practitioners working in diabetes prevention, treatment and care, as well as from men living with diabetes, to help its Men and Diabetes Advisory Group determine its working strategy going forward.
Diabetes in men is a major public health concern, with men 34 per cent more likely to be living with diabetes than women, and it is becoming more serious – rates of doctor-diagnosed diabetes in men have jumped from 2.9 per cent in 1994 to 7.1 per cent in 2014.Â
