A newly launched subscription service gives NPA members in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland access to monthly business reports on their pharmacies’ key services and market share.Â
Local Market Insight includes information on the percentage of prescription items the pharmacy receives from local GP surgeries and a comparison of key areas, such as item growth in members’ pharmacies and in their nearest local competitors. Item growth information is offered at three months, six months and as a rolling year total.
The Association says this data will help contractors monitor and identify opportunities to grow their business, as well as the effect of any changes they implement.
NPA head of Marketing Laura Sims said: “Coupled with expert NPA support, this business insight has the potential to enable NPA members to get ahead of their local competition, focus on actions that can grow their business and, importantly, monitor the results of their actions as well as dynamic changes in their local marketplace on a monthly basis. It’s a really easy-to-use tool, and I hope that members in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland find it very useful.â€
