Getting ready for flu season

An expert-led webinar from the PSNC will be helping pharmacies get ready to deliver the Flu Vaccination Advanced Service from 1 September. At 7.30pm on Wednesday 24 August, contractors and pharmacy team members who plan to provide the new service can tune in to learn how it works and how they can run it effectively.

Alastair Buxton, director of NHS services at PSNC, and Sunil Kochhar, PSNC regional representative and community pharmacist, will be covering a range of topics, including: the differences between the new service and the previous offering; how pharmacists can make their declaration of competence; data capture requirements; and how to sign up and claim for payment. In addition, a practising community pharmacist will be providing their top tips on delivering the service.

After the presenters run through all the key information about the service, there will be a Q&A session. PSNC will also be tweeting on the night with the hashtag #getreadyforflu.

You can sign up here. Further information on the Flu Vaccination Advanced Service is available at psnc.org.uk/flu
